  • Facts about your skin.

Human skin is the body’s largest organ, acting as a protective barrier against environmental factors like UV rays, pollution, and bacteria. It consists of three main layers: the epidermis (outer layer), dermis (middle layer), and hypodermis (deepest layer). Skin varies in type—normal, oily, dry, sensitive, and combination etc—each requiring different care. It regulates temperature, enables touch, and produces vitamin D when exposed to sunlight. As we age, skin undergoes changes like reduced elasticity, dryness, and the development of wrinkles. Healthy skin needs hydration, protection from the sun, and nourishment to maintain its function and appearance.

Below we have listed different skin types for your information:

Combination skin features both oily and dry areas, typically with an oily T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and dry or normal cheeks. Pores may appear larger in oily areas and smaller elsewhere. Balancing hydration without over-drying or increasing oil is key, using targeted products for different zones of the face.

Dry/sensitive skin often feels tight, itchy, or rough, and may appear red or flaky. It reacts easily to weather changes, harsh products, or fragrances. This skin type lacks moisture and protective oils, requiring gentle, hydrating care to maintain comfort and prevent irritation or inflammation.

Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin condition causing inflammation, dryness, itching, and redness. Skin may crack, flake, or weep, especially during flare-ups. It’s often triggered by allergens, irritants, stress, or climate. Eczema-prone skin needs soothing, fragrance-free moisturizers and gentle care to help restore the skin barrier.

Mature skin shows signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, and reduced elasticity. It may also become drier and more prone to age spots or uneven texture. As collagen production declines, a focus on hydration, firming ingredients (like retinol), and sun protection is key to maintaining healthy, youthful skin.

Normal/combination skin is well-balanced, featuring an even texture and tone. It typically has an oilier T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and drier cheeks. Pores are usually small to medium-sized, and blemishes are minimal. This skin type needs gentle care to maintain its natural balance without over-drying or increasing oil production.

Oily skin produces excess sebum, leading to a shiny appearance, enlarged pores, and a tendency for blackheads and acne. It’s often influenced by hormones, genetics, or stress. Proper care involves balancing oil without over-stripping—using lightweight, non-comedogenic products and gentle cleansers to maintain clear, healthy-looking skin.

Problem skin refers to skin that frequently experiences issues like acne, blemishes, excessive oiliness, dryness, or sensitivity. It may react to hormonal changes, stress, diet, or unsuitable products. Managing problem skin involves identifying triggers, using targeted treatments, and maintaining a consistent, gentle skincare routine to restore balance and clarity.

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by facial redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes bumps or pimples. It often affects the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Triggers include heat, spicy foods, alcohol, and stress. Rosacea-prone skin requires gentle, non-irritating products to reduce inflammation and soothe sensitivity.

Sensitive skin is prone to irritation, redness, and reactions to external factors like weather, skincare products, or environmental triggers. It may feel tight, itchy, or burn easily. People with sensitive skin
